Google Summer of Code 2009

April 21, 2009 · 0 comments

I’ve also submitted new proposals for the 2010 year, wish me luck!

I just received word that my proposal “Boost Drupal Media Module Development” has been accepted for the Google Summer of Code program. I’ll be working with the Drupal Media Project to accelerate development and bring the project closer to a beta release. I cannot express how excited I am to have been given this opportunity (hint: it’s 1:01 AM and I’m writing this)!

I will be setting up a new blog on which I’ll be posting daily updates to give you an insight as to how the project is progressing from my end. That link should be coming around the end of May when the program officially starts. In the mean time, I’ll be getting to know my mentor and the other folks behind the Media Project in preparation for some serious summer coding 8-) .
